We recognize that families may feel frustrated for a number of reasons but it’s in our interest to create a better understanding about children’s mental health. We will heighten awareness of the need for family engagement in children and youth mental health journeys.
It’s important in all our work that we honour the voices of the families that have made contributions, provided insights and ideas. This means going beyond acknowledgement but seeking to understand and support the voices that we hear.
We must always keep the long term Goals in mind and remember that every meeting, every action, every idea and every person’s contribution gets us closer to reaching those Goals. Throughout everything, we will wrap our arms around our families and ensure that child and youth mental health is visible and there is awareness in the community of our needs.
